Lost & Found.
This book was about a little girl who went to the shop for her mother. They needed ice-cream, and then the little girl found a puppy. His name was Trouble & Lucy liked him. So she brought him home & told her mother that she made a new friend... then her mother said “What’s his name?” Lucy said he wasn’t a person. Then her mom looked at her. Lucy said “He’s a dog & I found him when I was getting to ice-cream. He’s a stray!” She said. Then her mother looked at her and said “You can’t have him Lucy. He belongs to someone else. If that was your dog & you lost him you would want him back.”
Then Lucy said “Please mom, please?” Then her mother said “Oh alright, just wait until your father comes home & we will talk about it then.”
So Lucy toke the dog upstairs and made a bed for him. She made the bed from a big box and cut a big hole in the side for the door. She said “Come on, let’s go downstairs & play while we are waiting for dad to come home. When they played catch, Lucy’s dad came in and Trouble came out and barked at him. Lucy looked at her dad and Lucy’s dad looked at her. Then they went in the living room & talked about that… Then her dad said “We are bringing him to the pound to find his owner.” So her dad went in the kitchen and phoned the pound. Then her dad said “Thank you, let us know if the owner does show up.” Then her dad said “You can keep him until we find the owner.” Then Lucy said “Thanks dad!” And she gave him a hug! Then they went out into the kitchen and had supper. When they were having supper Lucy was about to give Trouble something from the table but her mom stopped her. “Don’t give the dog food from the table. It is not polite.” So then Lucy stopped. She went up to her room to get ready for bed. It was getting late. Then it was bedtime. She put Trouble in his bed & they both went to sleep. Then in the morning Trouble woke Lucy up & he barked. So, they went downstairs & had breakfast & they went out for a walk.
